Successful applicants are not required to pay examination, admission, or tuition fees. Each successful applicant will be employed as a research assistant. The amount of RA compensation is approximately 1,050,000 yen (JPY) a year. Participating in research as a RA is an excellent way for a student to develop research skills.

 

The application deadline for the entry in October 2012 is May 15, 2012.

The fellowship award is about 2,000,000 yen in the first year and about 1,500,000 yen in the second and subsequent years. For students who go directly to a doctoral degree program after the master course at Hokkaido University, the fellowship in the first year is about 1,500,000 yen.

The fellowship award includes a research assistant (RA) compensation. Participating in research as a RA is an excellent way for a student to develop research skills.

The application deadline for the entry in April 2012 is January 16, 2012.

Applicants must obtain an Application for Occupancy Form at the Educational Affairs Office　(Faculty of Science Building #2, Room 1-02), complete the form, and submit it to the office listed below. Current residents wishing to extend their stay must submit a letter of explanation (no specific format) in English or Japanese along with the form.

   Please confirm the application documents with your supervisor before submitting your form.
