陽子の質量は、格子ゲージ理論で計算でき、2次元の量子重力はランダムな格子 で記述出来ることが明らかになりました。この考えを発展させて、我々の4次元 の現実世界の標準模型と重力を格子上で統一的に記述する事ができないかという 視点で研究を進めています。この観点から任意の次元で定義された一般化された ゲージ理論を提唱し、3次元、4次元のランダム格子上での重力との関係或いは ワインバーグ・サラム模型と一般化されたゲージ理論の定式化との関連、更には この理論の量子化により超対称ヤング・ミルズ理論の自然な導出が出来る事も明 らかになってきました。更に最近超対称ヤング・ミルズ理論の格子上での定式化 に成功し、現実的な模型のランダムな格子上での定式化を視野に入れた新しい定 式化への土台が出来つつあります。
